At NWOC we understand that babies can have particular stresses associated with birth or even later in life such as childhood falls, accidents or rapid growth changes contributing to physical problems. We believe it is important to treat babies and children
and we work alongside a network of practitioners including GPs, Maternal Child Health Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Child Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Paediatric Dentists to achieve optimal results.
Our osteopaths will ask lots of questions to obtain a thorough history about your child’s development. The practitioner will then use gentle movements and play based activities to assess your baby or toddler. The osteopath then will formulate a treatment plan based on their examination findings and will use age appropriate manual therapy techniques to treat your child. They will also provide exercises you can do with your baby or toddler at home. Your osteopath will provide advice on things you can implement in your child’s life to help them.
Our team at NWOC take a gentle approach, as we want to ensure both parents and children feel comfortable and cared for.
