Dr Mel Vicino

Osteopathy

B.Sc(Biomed.Sc.), B.Sc.(Clin.Sc.), M.H.Sc.(Osteo.), M.O.A., M.A.H.P.R.A

Mel has come to us with over 10 years experience as an Osteopath. She has a strong interest in the human body, how it works and a passion to help others. This is why she became an Osteopath!

She takes a holistic approach in addressing both an injury and it’s causes. The diversity of her approach allows her to provide hands on techniques in addition to self-management and exercise rehabilitation strategies including clinical pilates to achieve the best long-term results for her patients.

Being a Mum with a background in competitive tennis has given her a keen interest in pregnancy related conditions and sporting injuries although she does love seeing a broad range of conditions. Building a strong rapport with her patients and helping them achieve their best state of health is her number one priority.

Mel is very passionate about educating her patients and empowering them.

In addition to clinical practice Mel has taught anatomy and physiology and supervised Osteopathic students at Victoria University alongside Rose. She has also practiced as a workplace ergonomic consultant.

When Mel is not treating patients, she loves spending time with her family and friends, keeping active and having a hit of tennis when she can. Mel has a passion for all things food related and enjoys chilling out reading a good book, watching sports or binging a quality TV show
